Sayonara Black Kigyō: Hero Bengoshi Kisaragi Itsuki no Honkai #1

Sayonara Black Kigyō: Hero Bengoshi Kisaragi Itsuki no Honkai was conceptualized within the competitive landscape of Japanese seinen manga, focusing on the intersection of legal drama and the cultural phenomenon of kigyō—or corporate entities—in contemporary society. The series emerged as a reflection of anxieties surrounding workplace ethics and corporate power dynamics, positioning its protagonist, Kisaragi Itsuki, as a legal crusader against abusive professional practices. The narrative serves as a stylistic evolution of the workplace justice genre, blending intense litigation sequences with the serialized pacing common to seinen anthologies.

The visual aesthetic of the series is characterized by sharp, deliberate linework and a grounded character design meant to convey both the gravity of legal battles and the weary reality of the modern Japanese office environment. As the inaugural chapter, issue #1 was crafted to establish Kisaragi's moral compass and the adversarial nature of the corporate firms he challenges. Upon release, the work was noted for its departure from more fantastical manga tropes, finding its audience among readers who appreciate grounded, character-driven storytelling centered on professional integrity and social accountability.
