Sentō Mecha Xabungle: Another Gale #8

Sentō Mecha Xabungle: Another Gale was a specialized manga spin-off series published in the early 1980s, designed to expand upon the high-energy, post-apocalyptic world of the Sunrise mecha anime Sentō Mecha Xabungle. Produced during the height of the series' popularity, this publication served to deepen the lore of the Zola desert setting, focusing on the rough-and-tumble adventures of scavengers and the iconic walking mecha known as Walker Machines.

The series leaned heavily into the distinct visual style of the original production, characterized by its gritty, western-inspired aesthetic blended with futuristic robotics. Issue number 8 continued the tradition of providing supplementary narratives that fleshed out the supporting cast and mechanical designs, appealing to fans who appreciated the frantic, comedic, and action-oriented tone established by director Yoshiyuki Tomino in the source anime.
