Shiawase Kanako no Koroshiya Seikatsu #8

Shiawase Kanako no Koroshiya Seikatsu, or The Happy Hitman Life of Kanako, began as a web manga series created by the artist Wakame Konbu. It follows the lighthearted and often absurd premise of an office worker who inadvertently becomes a professional assassin, navigating the clash between her mundane work life and her lethal side profession. The series is celebrated for its distinctive blend of dark humor and cozy, slice-of-life aesthetics, subverting traditional action tropes through Konbu's expressive character designs.

The eighth volume continues the series' established narrative trajectory, further exploring Kanako’s interactions with her eccentric colleagues and criminal acquaintances. Wakame Konbu’s art style remains characterized by clean lines and clear, comedic pacing that balances the protagonist's internal monologues with the external chaos of her double life. Upon its release, the volume was well-received by fans of the seinen manga genre for maintaining the series' consistent tone and thematic exploration of finding happiness in unconventional and contradictory circumstances.
