Solomon Royal Edition #1

The Solomon Royal Edition #1 emerged as a boutique comic book project, designed to capture a sense of prestige through high-end production values and limited distribution. It was conceived as a collector-focused experiment, aiming to bridge the gap between traditional sequential art and fine art printmaking. The series was built on a thematic foundation of neoclassical aesthetic influences, intended to evoke the sensibilities of classical portraiture within a contemporary narrative structure.

The visual identity of this issue was spearheaded by a team focused on intricate linework and a muted, sophisticated color palette. The intent was to move away from the high-saturation norms of the mass-market comic industry, opting instead for a textured finish that appealed to archival collectors. Upon release, it was noted primarily for its distinct physical feel and unconventional paper stock, earning a modest but dedicated following among enthusiasts of independent, niche publishing who prioritize material quality alongside storytelling.
