Soredemo Kichijōji Dake ga Sumitai Machi Desuka? #2

Soredemo Kichijōji Dake ga Sumitai Machi Desuka? is a manga series created by Maki Yoshino, serving as a sequel to the original work by Yukihiro Fujita. The series follows the staff of the Shigeta Real Estate agency as they introduce unconventional clients to neighborhoods in Tokyo that offer unique charm beyond the popular Kichijōji area. Published by Kodansha, this second volume continues the exploration of urban sociology and the emotional ties residents develop with their chosen local environments.

The series is celebrated for its grounded approach to Japanese urban life and its focus on architectural and cultural nuances of Tokyo's lesser-known districts. By moving away from the typical idealization of trendy neighborhoods, Yoshino provides a practical and empathetic look at city living. The design and narrative style were well-received by readers looking for slice-of-life storytelling that emphasizes the diversity of community identities found throughout the capital.
