Soulsearchers and Company #6

Soulsearchers and Company #6 was published in 1993 as part of the independent comic book series created by writer and artist Peter David. The series debuted during a period in the 1990s when smaller publishers were experimenting with genre-blending narratives, and this title specifically leaned into a comedic, supernatural detective aesthetic. It centers on a group of paranormal investigators navigating a world of high fantasy and urban mystery, reflecting David's characteristic blend of sharp dialogue and subverted fantasy tropes.

The visual identity of the series was defined by a rotating cast of artists who sought to balance the humorous tone of the script with the traditional action-adventure panel layouts popular at the time. As the sixth issue, it arrived during the series' initial establishment phase, where readers were introduced to the eclectic team dynamic. While the series did not reach the commercial ubiquity of major mainstream superhero titles, it garnered a devoted cult following that appreciated David's focus on character development over standard genre conventions.
