Super Psychic Policeman Chojo #2

Super Psychic Policeman Chojo was created by mangaka Shuichi Shigeno and serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump starting in 1989. The series emerged during a period when supernatural and action-oriented comedy mangas were gaining significant traction within the magazine. This second issue continued the comedic adventures of the titular protagonist, a police officer with psychic abilities who frequently finds himself in absurd situations while attempting to uphold the law.

The character design reflects the late 1980s aesthetic, leaning into a blend of slapstick humor and stylized action typical of the era's Shonen jump titles. While the series was eventually overshadowed by the massive success of other contemporary works and Shigeno's later pivot to the racing genre with Initial D, issue number two serves as a representative artifact of his early experimentation with high-concept humor and character-driven storytelling.
