T.A.M.A. #6

T.A.M.A. (Totally Awesome Mutant Animals) was a comic book series published by Antarctic Press in the mid-1990s. The series emerged during a period of heightened interest in anthropomorphic action comics, a genre heavily influenced by the runaway success of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Issue #6 sits within this niche landscape, reflecting the independent comic scene's attempt to capture the energetic, irreverent tone of the era's animal-themed superhero parody boom.

The series featured an ensemble cast of genetically altered animals, emphasizing character-driven humor and stylized action sequences typical of its publisher's catalog. The design of the characters and the storytelling approach were intended to appeal to readers who enjoyed exaggerated art styles and fast-paced narratives. While the series did not achieve the mainstream cultural footprint of its inspirations, it remains a recognized example of the stylistic tropes and creative aspirations common to 1990s small-press superhero comics.
