The Amory Wars: Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume II - No World for Tomorrow #1

Released in 2008 by Boom! Studios, this issue serves as the debut of the second volume of Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV. The story is a direct narrative adaptation of the concept album by the progressive rock band Coheed and Cambria, serving as part of an expansive science fiction mythology created by the band's frontman, Claudio Sanchez. The series was developed to bridge the gaps in the complex lore established in the band's discography, providing a visual medium for the intricate, space-opera narrative that spans generations of characters in the fictional Heaven's Fence universe.

The visual storytelling for this volume was handled by artist Richard P. Clark, whose work aimed to capture the dark, surreal aesthetic inherent in Sanchez's lyrics. The series was designed to appeal to both long-time listeners of the band and general readers of dark fantasy, grounding high-concept musical themes in a traditional comic book format. While the series maintains a niche following, it is widely regarded as a significant example of transmedia storytelling, effectively expanding a musical project into a multi-volume comic book franchise.
