The Ancient Magus' Bride: Wizard's Blue #10

Wizard's Blue is a spin-off series set within the universe of Kore Yamazaki's The Ancient Magus' Bride. Launched in 2019, the series was written by Makoto Sanda and illustrated by Isuo Tsukumo, shifting the focus to a new protagonist, Ao Fukazawa, who possesses a rare and dangerous ability to see magical beings. This narrative expansion was intended to explore the global breadth of the franchise's magical lore beyond the original story's focus on Elias and Chise, bringing a more urban fantasy perspective to the established setting.

The tenth issue serves as a pivotal installment in the series' trajectory, reflecting the meticulous character design and atmospheric tone that Tsukumo established for the spin-off. The art style maintains a distinct, slightly darker visual language compared to the main series, emphasizing the visceral nature of Ao’s connection to the hidden world. Upon its release, the series was noted by readers and critics for its commitment to expanding the complex world-building of the franchise while successfully introducing an independent cast that could stand apart from the parent series.
