The Fury of Firestorm #48

The Fury of Firestorm #48 was published in June 1986 as part of DC Comics' post-Crisis on Infinite Earths landscape. During this era, the series, written by Gerry Conway, was navigating significant shifts in the character's status quo following the conclusion of the company's massive multiversal reboot. The title focused on the complex internal and external conflicts of Ronnie Raymond and Professor Martin Stein, who shared the dual existence of the Nuclear Man.

The cover art for this issue was provided by Joe Brozowski, who frequently contributed to the series throughout the mid-1980s. His work aimed to capture the dramatic, high-stakes superhero action characteristic of the Bronze Age transitioning into the Modern Age of comics. While the series enjoyed a dedicated following during its long run, this specific issue is primarily noted by collectors as a standard entry in the mid-series narrative arc rather than a pivotal turning point or key debut.
