The Incredible Hulk #411

The Incredible Hulk issue #411, published in November 1993, belongs to a period of the series written by Peter David, who is widely regarded for his decade-long transformative run on the character. This specific issue features art by Gary Frank, an illustrator known for his realistic and detailed approach during the early 1990s. The story continues David's exploration of the complex, fractured psychology of Bruce Banner, set against the backdrop of the 'Pantheon' storyline where the Hulk served as a member of a paramilitary organization.

The creative direction during this era focused on shifting the Hulk from a mindless beast to a multifaceted persona, balancing his immense physical power with evolving intellectual capacities. Gary Frank's tenure on the title was well-received by fans and critics alike for providing a grounding, cinematic visual style that contrasted with the more exaggerated aesthetics prevalent in the comic book industry at the time. This issue serves as a chapter in a long-form narrative that solidified the character's modern status as an anti-hero.
