Titanic Reeks #24

Titanic Reeks was an underground satirical comic book series that emerged during the late 1980s as part of the independent small-press movement. These publications were frequently characterized by their subversive humor, grit, and a deliberate rejection of mainstream comic tropes, often utilizing self-deprecating narratives to critique the industry and contemporary culture of the era.

Issue number 24 serves as a representative example of the series' aesthetic, which favored stark, monochromatic linework and fragmented storytelling. The creative team utilized the format to experiment with surrealist imagery and cynical social commentary, a stylistic choice that resonated with the niche subcultures of the time but remained largely inaccessible to a wider commercial audience.
