Tintins oplevelser. Originalversionen fra "Le Petit Vingtieme" #4

Tintin in the Land of the Soviets, the inaugural adventure of the intrepid reporter, first appeared in serial form within the pages of Le Petit Vingtième, a youth supplement to the Belgian newspaper Le Vingtième Siècle. Launched in 1929, the strip was created by Georges Remi, known by his pen name Hergé, at the behest of the newspaper's editor, Abbé Norbert Wallez. The intent was to produce a satirical narrative that reflected the staunchly anti-Bolshevik and conservative Catholic values of the publication, portraying the Soviet Union as a fractured and chaotic landscape.

Hergé utilized a distinct, minimalist style that would eventually evolve into his signature ligne claire, or clear line, technique. During this early phase, the artwork was characterized by rapid production and a lack of formal training in anatomy or perspective, yet it captured a dynamic, cinematic quality. The reception at the time was primarily localized to the newspaper's young readership, though it served as the critical foundational moment for what would become one of the most significant cultural franchises in European comics history.
