Touken Ranbu: Nihongō Tsurezure-Zake #3

Touken Ranbu: Nihongō Tsurezure-Zake is a specialized manga series derived from the broader Touken Ranbu franchise, which anthropomorphizes historical Japanese swords as warrior characters. This specific series centers on the character Nihongō, a legendary spear known as one of the Three Great Spears of Japan. Published within the collaborative ecosystem of Nitroplus and DMM Games, the title reflects the franchise's ongoing expansion into print media to deepen the lore and personality of its expansive roster of blade-inspired figures.

The creative direction for this series focuses on slice-of-life storytelling, contrasting the martial history of the original weapon with the domestic and whimsical nature of the characters in their modern iterations. The third volume continues this narrative thread, maintaining the visual style established by the franchise’s illustrators to ensure consistency with the character designs found in the original browser game. It was received as a niche collector's item for fans interested in the specific character dynamics surrounding the spear-type warriors within the Touken Ranbu canon.
