Trace: Kasōken Hōi Kenkyūin no Tsuisō #11

Trace: Kasōken Hōi Kenkyūin no Tsuisō is a long-running seinen manga series written and illustrated by Kei Koga, first serialized in Monthly Comic Zenon in 2012. The series is grounded in the author’s real-world experience as a former forensic researcher, aiming to depict the meticulous and often grim reality of crime lab investigations with scientific accuracy. Issue 11 represents a chapter in this narrative, which focuses on Reiji Mano, a forensic researcher who uses his specialized skills to uncover the truth behind cold cases and complex criminal evidence.

The series gained significant recognition for its departure from typical sensationalist crime fiction, opting instead for a methodical, procedural approach that highlights the intersection of science and human emotion. The artwork is characterized by its clinical, detailed illustrations of forensic tools and processes, reflecting the author's desire to provide an authentic look at the Japanese legal and scientific system. It was later adapted into a live-action television drama in 2019, further cementing its place as a notable entry in the contemporary forensic manga genre.
