Where it came from
Trinity Angels #7 was published in 1997 as part of the short-lived series from Harris Comics. The title was created by writer and artist Kevin Lau, who intended for the series to blend supernatural action with the aesthetic hallmarks of the 1990s independent comic scene. The narrative centers on a group of celestial beings navigating Earth, reflecting the period's broader trend of exploring dark fantasy and angelic motifs within the medium.
The visual style of the series is heavily influenced by the distinct 'bad girl' art movement prominent in mid-90s indie publishing. Lau’s illustration work on the series prioritized elaborate costumes and dynamic, cinematic panel layouts. While the series captured a dedicated niche of readers who appreciated the stylization of the era, it remained a secondary title for Harris Comics, which was better known at the time for its flagship Vampirella publications.
