Unity 2000 #2

Unity 2000 was a crossover limited series published by Valiant Comics in 1999, designed to bridge the various narrative threads of the Valiant universe following its acquisition by Acclaim Entertainment. The series sought to unify disparate character storylines under a singular event, acting as a swan song for the 'Valiant Era' as the company pivoted its focus toward newer digital media and gaming initiatives.

The art and narrative direction were heavily influenced by the house style established during the late nineties, emphasizing dramatic, high-contrast imagery intended to appeal to longtime readers of the imprint. While the series was ambitious in its goal to tie together decades of lore, its reception was largely reflective of the era's complex editorial transitions, eventually serving as a historical marker for the conclusion of that specific iteration of the publisher.
