Universal Monsters: Blood of the Wolf Man #4

Universal Monsters: Blood of the Wolf Man, released by Dark Horse Comics in the late 1990s, was part of a broader initiative to adapt and expand upon the legacy of classic Universal Studios horror films. This four-issue limited series served as an official tie-in, reimagining the tragic narrative of Lawrence Talbot for a modern comic book audience while maintaining the gothic atmosphere of the original silver screen productions.

The series was scripted by Dan Jolley, who worked to balance the lore established by the 1941 film with fresh tonal elements suitable for a serialized format. Visually, the series relied on a rotating team of artists to capture the atmospheric aesthetic of the Universal monster era. It was generally received by horror fans as a respectful homage, valued primarily for its effort to keep the iconic creature designs relevant in the medium of sequential storytelling.
