Valkyrie Apocalypse #19

Valkyrie Apocalypse, known in Japan as Record of Ragnarok, is a seinen manga series written by Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui, with illustrations by Ajichika. Serialized in Monthly Comic Zenon since 2017, the series presents a high-stakes tournament where humanity's greatest heroes and villains face off against the gods of various pantheons to determine the fate of the world. The design aesthetic is defined by exaggerated character models and dynamic, kinetic action sequences that lean into a theatrical and grandiose visual style.

Issue 19 serves as part of the ongoing narrative arc as the tournament progresses. It continues the collaborative artistic approach of the team, maintaining the high-contrast inking and intense expressionism that have become hallmarks of the series. Upon its release, the volume continued the manga's trend of strong sales within Japan and solidified its global reach, bolstered by a popular anime adaptation that helped transition the series from a niche seinen title to a significant international franchise.
