Wonder Woman #10

Wonder Woman #10 was published by DC Comics in the summer of 1944. Created during the Golden Age of comics, the issue reflects the wartime era's fascination with mythic archetypes blended with contemporary themes. At this time, the character was written by series creator William Moulton Marston, who utilized the narratives to explore psychological concepts and the social role of women in society.

The cover and interior artwork were executed by H.G. Peter, the artist who defined the character's early aesthetic. Peter’s distinct, illustrative style departed from the more standard superhero art of the period, favoring a classical, almost decorative quality that aligned with Marston’s vision of the Amazonian princess. The issue, like others in the early run, was well-received by young readers who were drawn to the character's unique combination of physical strength and compassionate diplomacy.
