Wonder Woman #104

Wonder Woman issue 104, released in February 1959, represents a distinct period in the character's history during the Silver Age of comic books. Published by DC Comics, this issue captures the creative stewardship of writer Robert Kanigher and artist Ross Andru, who was beginning his long-standing collaboration with inker Mike Esposito. The era was defined by a transition toward more science-fiction-oriented plots and imaginative, sometimes surreal narratives that moved away from the more grounded mythological themes established by William Moulton Marston.

The aesthetic of this period reflects the standard DC house style of the late 1950s, characterized by clear, dynamic paneling and vibrant coloring designed to appeal to younger readers. As part of the ongoing title, the issue adheres to the established visual identity of Wonder Woman during a time when the character underwent frequent changes in supporting cast and thematic focus. Critical reception of this specific era has historically viewed these stories as lighthearted adventures that solidified the character's presence within the burgeoning shared DC Universe.
