Wonder Woman #107

Wonder Woman #107, released in July 1959, represents a pivotal era for the character during the Silver Age of comic books. Published by DC Comics, this issue captures the narrative direction overseen by editor Robert Kanigher, who frequently steered the series toward whimsical, space-faring adventures and unconventional romance plots. This period is particularly noted for the transition in art style as the industry moved away from the Golden Age aesthetic toward more stylized, polished line work characteristic of the late 1950s.

The interior art was provided by Ross Andru, a foundational artist for the series who collaborated closely with inker Mike Esposito. Their work on this issue emphasizes the clear, kinetic storytelling style that defined the era. The cover, featuring Diana in a fantastical scenario, reflects the editorial intent of the time to attract younger readers through high-concept, imaginative premises. While individual issues from this timeframe are now historical artifacts of the medium's evolution, they were originally produced as low-cost newsstand entertainment meant to be read and frequently discarded.
