Working for God in a Godless World #4

Working for God in a Godless World emerged in the mid-1970s as a series of Christian-themed educational pamphlets and comic booklets. This publication was produced during an era when evangelical organizations were increasingly utilizing the medium of sequential art and pulp-style illustration to reach younger audiences, mirroring the aesthetic of mainstream comics while embedding moral or theological guidance into the narrative structure.

The fourth issue, like its predecessors, leans into the striking, high-contrast graphic style characteristic of the period's small-press religious tracts. These materials were designed to be easily distributed in schools, community centers, and religious gatherings, aiming to provoke existential reflection through a didactic lens. While largely ignored by mainstream comic critics of the time, the series remains a notable example of mid-century counter-cultural religious outreach through independent print media.
