X #5

X #5 was published in 1994 as part of a creator-owned limited series written and illustrated by Steven Grant and Seth Fisher. The series emerged during an era of the comic book industry defined by independent experimentation and a push for more stylistic, auteur-driven storytelling that broke away from the traditional house styles of major publishers.

The design of the series is noted for its highly detailed, surrealistic, and intricate line work, which became a hallmark of Seth Fisher’s distinctive artistic approach. The work was generally praised by critics for its unique visual language and narrative density, though it remains a niche entry in the landscape of mid-nineties independent comics, remembered primarily by enthusiasts of the creators' specific aesthetic contributions to the medium.
