X-Men: Age of Revelation Infinity Comic #8

X-Men: Age of Revelation debuted as part of Marvel Comics' digital-first 'Infinity Comic' initiative, a format designed specifically for vertical mobile reading on the Marvel Unlimited platform. Released in 2024, the series serves as a modern reimagining of the classic 1995 'Age of Apocalypse' storyline, re-envisioning the grim, dystopian alternate reality where Charles Xavier is dead and Apocalypse has conquered North America. The narrative explores how the timeline deviates when small, critical changes to the original events occur, offering a fresh perspective on a foundational piece of X-Men history.

The creative team behind the series prioritized the unique storytelling constraints of the vertical scroll format, utilizing seamless transitions that allow action sequences to flow across the digital canvas. This installment, issue number eight, continues the tradition of blending high-stakes mutant warfare with the character-driven drama synonymous with the X-Men brand. The visual style pays homage to the gritty, heavy-lined aesthetic of the mid-nineties while incorporating modern digital coloring techniques, aiming to satisfy both long-time collectors of the original event and new digital-native readers.
