X-Men: Age of Revelation Infinity Comic #9

X-Men: Age of Revelation debuted as an Infinity Comic on the Marvel Unlimited platform, serving as a digital-first reimagining of the classic 1995 Age of Apocalypse event. This series was designed to leverage the vertical-scrolling format unique to mobile reading, allowing for innovative panel layouts and transitions that depart from traditional printed page structures. It reflects the ongoing effort by Marvel to modernize legacy storylines for a new generation of digital-native readers.

The creative direction for this series leans into the grim, alternate-reality stakes of the original narrative while utilizing contemporary artistic sensibilities. The creative teams were tasked with distilling the sprawling complexity of the original event into concise, episodic installments tailored for rapid mobile consumption. Upon its release, the series was received as a stylistic bridge between 90s nostalgia and the current era of high-frequency digital publishing, focusing on character-driven pacing within the constrained visual medium of mobile devices.
