Provenance

Where it came from

X-Men: Elsewhen #1 serves as the debut of a fan-fiction project created by writer and artist Paul Storrie, who sought to continue the narrative of the X-Men from the conclusion of the Chris Claremont and Dave Cockrum era. The series functions as an 'imaginary story' that explores what might have happened had the team roster remained consistent with their late-1970s configuration, serving as a homage to the Bronze Age of comic books.

The design of the series leans heavily into the visual language of 1970s Marvel comics, with Storrie mirroring the pacing and character dynamics established in Giant-Size X-Men #1. It was conceptualized as a digital-first tribute, and while not an official Marvel publication, it has gained a following among enthusiasts for its commitment to the classic aesthetic and tone of the original series.
