X-Men Infinity Comic #1

X-Men Infinity Comic #1 represents a modern pivot in Marvel's digital distribution strategy, launched in 2021 as a flagship title for the Marvel Unlimited platform. Designed specifically for vertical scrolling on mobile devices, this format aimed to reimagine sequential storytelling by removing the constraints of the traditional physical page, allowing for a more immersive and cinematic experience that caters to modern digital consumption habits.

The issue serves as a foundational piece in the Krakoan era of X-Men lore, focusing on an expansive, character-driven narrative that takes advantage of the long-form potential of the digital canvas. While the creative teams for these issues rotate, the series was received as a bold experiment in digital-first medium design, successfully bridging the gap between traditional comic book aesthetics and the interactive possibilities of modern tablet and smartphone reading.
