X-Men United #2

X-Men United #2 was released in the mid-1990s as part of a Marvel Comics initiative to tie into the various media adaptations of the X-Men franchise. This specific series was designed to provide readers with standalone stories that expanded upon the team dynamics established in the popular animated series of the time. The editorial direction aimed to capture a younger, broader audience that had been introduced to the characters through television rather than the complex, long-running continuity of the main X-Men titles.

The aesthetic of the issue reflects the house style of the 1990s, characterized by dynamic action sequences and bold, high-contrast coloring intended to mimic the visual language of the cartoon. While the series was a commercial product meant to capitalize on the widespread popularity of the X-Men brand during its peak, it is often viewed by collectors today as a time capsule of the era's specific approach to accessible, franchise-driven storytelling.
