Xena: Warrior Princess #7

Xena: Warrior Princess #7 was published by Dark Horse Comics in 1999 as part of their licensed run adapting the popular television series. This era of comic production sought to capitalize on the show's massive global success during its fourth season, aiming to provide fans with canonical or side-story narratives that explored the complex relationship between Xena and Gabrielle in a medium that allowed for more fantastical visual storytelling than the show's budget often permitted.

The issue features work from a rotating creative team standard for the Dark Horse license, focusing on a self-contained adventure designed to mirror the episodic pacing of the television show. The artwork utilizes a stylized approach that balances the gritty aesthetic of the series with the bold, dynamic lines common in late 90s action comics. While these issues were primarily marketed to the series' dedicated viewership, they are now held as artifacts of the brief peak of syndicated fantasy television tie-in culture.
