Yamikin Ushijima-kun Gaiden: Nikumamushi Densetsu #25

Yamikin Ushijima-kun Gaiden: Nikumamushi Densetsu is a spin-off series based on the dark, gritty seinen manga Yamikin Ushijima-kun by Shohei Manabe. This specific spin-off focuses on the character Nikumamushi, a particularly violent and unpredictable antagonist from the original series. The series is illustrated by Manami Sakai and was created to explore the brutal underworld origins and actions of this fan-favorite villain, expanding on the grim reality of the debt collection industry portrayed in the flagship title.

The series is serialized in the manga magazine Big Comic Spirits, following the established aesthetic of the parent franchise which emphasizes realism, moral decay, and the consequences of financial desperation. The design and narrative direction aim to maintain the intense, unflinching atmosphere that defines Manabe's work, prioritizing psychological tension and visceral storytelling. It has been received as a faithful expansion of the original's tone, catering to an audience accustomed to mature, heavy thematic content.
