Young All-Stars #24

Young All-Stars #24 was published by DC Comics in 1989, serving as a late installment in a series that explored the origins and adventures of the All-Star Squadron members during the World War II era. Created by Roy and Dann Thomas, the title was designed to retroactively fill gaps in DC's Golden Age history, specifically focusing on the formative years of characters like Dan the Dyna-Mite and Iron Munro within a post-Crisis on Infinite Earths framework.

The issue features the creative work of writer Roy Thomas and artist Michael Bair, who were tasked with maintaining a vintage aesthetic while adhering to the more complex narrative continuity of the late 1980s. The series was generally received as a dedicated piece of historical world-building, appreciated by enthusiasts of DC’s sprawling continuity, though it struggled to maintain a broad audience as the industry shifted toward darker, more contemporary themes during that period.
