Young Heroes In Love #12

Young Heroes in Love was a comic book series published by DC Comics under the Impulse imprint, beginning in 1998. Created by writer Dan Raspler and artist Dev Madan, the series was designed as a lighthearted, character-driven subversion of the traditional teenage superhero trope. It focused on the interpersonal drama, romantic entanglements, and social anxieties of a group of fledgling heroes living together in a communal house, drawing heavy stylistic influence from television sitcoms and nineties teen soap operas.

Issue #12, published in 1999, served as part of the series' concluding narrative arc. The art style utilized a distinct, energetic aesthetic that reflected the youth-oriented tone of the Impulse line, emphasizing vibrant character expressions and comedic timing over standard action-oriented panel layouts. While the series did not achieve long-term commercial success, it remains a notable example of DC's late-nineties experiment with niche, genre-blending titles that favored character development and humor over legacy continuity.
