Where it came from
Yozakura Quartet, authored and illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda, began its serialization in Monthly Shonen Sirius in 2006. The series blends urban fantasy with action, centering on four teenagers with supernatural abilities protecting their town of Sakurashin. Issue 15 arrived as part of the established run of the manga, following the series' transition from purely episodic supernatural mysteries to more complex narrative arcs involving the town's governance and history.
Suzuhito Yasuda is well known for his distinct, expressive character designs and his work on high-profile light novel franchises. In the pages of Yozakura Quartet, he employed a dynamic, kinetic art style that emphasizes the chaotic energy of the protagonists' powers. By the time volume 15 was released, the series had garnered a dedicated following for its technical artistic quality and its ability to balance lighthearted slice-of-life elements with intricate world-building.
