Where it came from
Herald of Ravages, designated as LGS153, was released as a promotional item within the Local Game Store promo series for the tabletop game system it belongs to. These cards were distributed to participating hobby retailers to incentivize community engagement and reward players for supporting brick-and-mortar locations. The design reflects the high-fantasy aesthetic typical of the set, focusing on aggressive imagery intended to capture the volatile nature of the character depicted.
The card is part of a broader initiative by publishers to provide exclusive, alternate-art, or tournament-legal promotional materials that foster player loyalty. As a promo, its distribution was limited to specific event cycles, making it a distinct variant within the game's overall catalog. Reception among the player base has been tied to its utility in gameplay and its status as a collector's piece within the set's hierarchy of rare acquisitions.
