Where it came from
Infect was released as part of the Arakni Blitz Deck for the Flesh and Blood trading card game, designed to provide a ready-to-play experience for new players. The card serves as a thematic cornerstone for the Assassin class, representing the tactical, incremental damage style that defines Arakni's gameplay identity in the Outsiders expansion.
The card's design emphasizes the reactive and punishing nature of the Assassin class within the game's combat system. Like much of the artwork in Flesh and Blood, the illustration is intended to ground the card in the dark, gritty aesthetic of the Rathe universe. While common in rarity, it is central to the Arakni deck's mechanical loop, focusing on consistent chip damage rather than explosive bursts.
