Predatory Streak

Predatory Streak was issued as part of the Local Game Store (LGS) promotional series, a program designed to foster community engagement by providing exclusive, limited-distribution cards to hobby shops. This initiative emerged during a period where publishers sought to incentivize in-person play by offering unique aesthetic variants or mechanics to players who participated in organized store events. These cards serve as both functional game pieces and commemorative tokens for the loyal customers who support independent retail locations.

The design of the card emphasizes the action-oriented nature of the gameplay, utilizing bold, predatory imagery to convey the card's function. The illustration follows the established artistic direction of the broader set, focusing on dynamic movement and a visceral color palette intended to evoke intensity. While the card functions within the established ruleset, its status as a promotional item often centers its value on the scarcity of its distribution rather than a departure from standard design principles.
