Where it came from
Shred was released in 2022 as part of the Arakni Blitz Deck for the Flesh and Blood trading card game. This specific card serves as an attack reaction unique to the Assassin class, designed to support the gameplay mechanics introduced with the Dynasty expansion. It reflects the thematic focus on precision and resource efficiency, allowing players to manipulate the combat chain by gaining additional value from successful hits.
The card’s visual design was crafted to align with the dark, stealth-oriented aesthetic of the Arakni hero profile. Like other cards in the Dynasty set, the illustration was commissioned to emphasize the mechanical intensity of the game’s combat system. Upon its release, it was noted by the player community for its utility in maintaining offensive momentum, becoming a staple component for players looking to refine their Assassin-focused deck builds.
