Where it came from
The Sledge of Anvilheim (FAB408) is a promo card released for the Flesh and Blood trading card game. It represents a piece of equipment used by the Guardian class, designed to reflect the sturdy and powerful thematic identity of the characters originating from the mountain realm of Anvilheim. Its creation aligns with the game's broader effort to introduce specialized, high-tier promotional cards that function as both gameplay assets and desirable collector pieces for the community.
The visual design and mechanical balance of the card follow the signature aesthetic established by Legend Story Studios, focusing on bold, high-fantasy illustrations that emphasize weight and impact. As a promotional item, it was distributed through organized play events or specific marketing initiatives, allowing it to stand out from standard set releases. Upon its introduction, it was well-received by players for its tactical utility and by collectors for its limited availability and unique foil treatments common to the game's promo catalog.
