Where it came from
Babu Frik was introduced in the 2019 film Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker as an Anzellan droidsmith working on Kijimi. The character quickly captured audience attention due to his distinct design, expressive puppetry, and memorable voice performance, becoming one of the breakout stars of the sequel trilogy despite his limited screen time.
Funko released this Pop! figure as part of their Star Wars line in anticipation of the film's theatrical debut. Designed to match the standard aesthetic of the Pop! vinyl series, the figure translates Babu Frik’s oversized goggles, textured tunic, and small stature into the stylized, large-headed format that defines the brand's approach to pop culture collectibles.
