Where it came from
Babu Frik is a diminutive Anzellan droidsmith introduced in the 2019 film Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The character quickly became a fan favorite for his quirky personality and instrumental role in helping the Resistance decipher C-3PO's memory files. As part of Funko's extensive Pop! Star Wars line, this figure was released to coincide with the film's theatrical debut, capturing the character's distinct goggles and petite stature.
The figure design follows the standardized Funko aesthetic, featuring the oversized head and simplified facial features characteristic of the brand. Sculpted to mirror his appearance in the film, the figure emphasizes his technical role by maintaining his iconic, wide-eyed expression. Upon release, the item was marketed to collectors seeking to complete their Sequel Trilogy display, receiving positive recognition for its faithful representation of a breakout character within the expanded Star Wars universe.
