Big Al (Lavender)

Big Al, the official mascot of the University of Alabama Crimson Tide, was released as part of the inaugural Funko Pop! College series. As the first entry in this line, numbered 01, the figure serves as a milestone for the company’s expansion into collegiate licensing. It was produced to commemorate the university's sports heritage, translating the anthropomorphic elephant mascot into the brand's signature stylized aesthetic, characterized by a large head and simplified, de-detailed features.

The lavender edition of this figure is a notable variation within the early production run of the College line. The design remains faithful to the classic Big Al iconography, featuring the mascot in his traditional team jersey. While the standard release is more common, the specific color-way variations in this series were aimed at dedicated university memorabilia collectors, reflecting Funko's strategy of creating tiered collectibility through subtle aesthetic adjustments during the early stages of their collegiate partnership program.
