C-3P0

The C-3PO Pop! Digital figure, numbered 277, was released as part of the Star Wars Digital Pop! series by Funko. This line represents the company’s expansion into the non-fungible token market, where physical vinyl figures were tied to digital collectibles obtained through the purchase of packs on the Droppp platform. The item was designed to emulate the classic aesthetic of the droid first introduced in the 1977 film Star Wars, utilizing Funko’s signature oversized head and simplified proportions while rendered in the stylized digital format associated with the 2022 release.

The design team at Funko focused on capturing the iconic gold-plated finish of the protocol droid while adapting the character for a platform intended for a modern, tech-focused collector base. As part of a digital-first initiative, the physical figure was produced in limited quantities available only to those who successfully redeemed a specific digital token during the collection's distribution window. The series was met with interest from franchise completionists and those tracking the intersection of traditional vinyl collecting with emerging digital asset ecosystems.
