Chief Brody (White Glasses) (PROTOTYPE)

The Chief Brody figure, part of the initial Jaws wave in Funko’s Pop Movies line, depicts the iconic protagonist played by Roy Scheider. As the 18th figure in the numbered Pop line, it represents an early period in Funko’s expansion into cinematic licenses, designed to capture the classic aesthetic of the 1975 film. The version featuring white glasses is a rare prototype variant, created during the development phase to test paint applications and design fidelity before the final product hit retail shelves.

The design draws heavily from the recognizable look of Martin Brody during his beach-duty sequences in Amity Island. Funko designers prioritized the character's signature expression and attire to ensure immediate recognition for fans of the franchise. While the standard release became a staple for horror and film collectors, the prototype variants served as internal benchmarks for quality control and aesthetic approval, ultimately helping to solidify the Pop line's trademark oversized-head style.
