Coach Beard

Coach Beard, number 1358 in the Pop! Television line, was produced by Funko as part of their merchandise collaboration with the hit Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso. Released during the show's peak popularity, the figure captures the character's signature look, including his distinct beard, glasses, and AFC Richmond coaching attire. It serves as an extension of Funko's strategy to translate iconic television personalities into their stylized, vinyl aesthetic for a broad audience of fans and collectors.

The design process for this figure focused on distilling Coach Beard’s enigmatic and stoic presence into the characteristic Pop! form. Artists at Funko prioritized the inclusion of his essential visual markers, such as his casual coaching gear, to ensure immediate recognizability for viewers of the series. Upon its release, the figure was well-received by the show's dedicated community, functioning as a staple collectible that complements the wider set of characters from the Richmond locker room.
