Colonel Sanders

The Colonel Sanders Pop! Pez figure was released as part of the broader Funko Pop! Pez line, which fuses the aesthetic of Funko’s stylized vinyl figures with the nostalgic, functional heritage of Pez candy dispensers. Produced to celebrate the iconic branding of Kentucky Fried Chicken, this figure captures the Colonel in his classic white suit and string tie, echoing the familiar likeness that has served as the company's visual identity since its mid-century expansion.

Funko’s design approach for this series involves translating well-known corporate mascots and pop culture icons into a uniform, compact form factor that remains recognizable despite the simplification of features. The Colonel Sanders entry, numbered 04, reflects the brand’s strategy of leveraging American pop culture artifacts to appeal to both collectors of vintage advertising memorabilia and fans of contemporary vinyl toys, receiving a reception largely defined by the intersection of corporate branding and hobbyist enthusiasm.
