Where it came from
Released as part of the Funko Pop! Movies line, this figure commemorates the character Columbus from the 2009 cult horror-comedy Zombieland. The figure captures his survivalist persona, complete with his signature backpack and the specific rules he follows to navigate the post-apocalyptic world. Its design reflects the broader Pop aesthetic, featuring the iconic oversized head and stylized facial features intended to evoke the likeness of Jesse Eisenberg’s portrayal in the film.
The figure was produced to celebrate the enduring popularity of the Zombieland franchise, which revitalized the zombie genre through its unique blend of humor and heartfelt character dynamics. Funko designers aimed to balance the character's mundane, neurotic civilian appearance with the grit of his zombie-fighting environment. Upon release, the figure was met with enthusiasm by collectors and fans of the movie, serving as a tangible tribute to the film’s specific brand of cynical optimism.
