Compound Hulk

The Compound Hulk Pop! figure was released as a 2012 San Diego Comic-Con exclusive, representing a rare hybrid character from Marvel Comics. The character first appeared in 'Hulk' #606, written by Jeff Parker and illustrated by Ed McGuinness, where the Red Hulk and the classic green Hulk are fused into a single entity. This design choice was intended to visualize a chaotic merging of the two most prominent iterations of the character, resulting in a distinct visual aesthetic that highlights a split-toned green and red physiology.

As part of the early Marvel Pop! series, the figure is numbered 39 and reflects the foundational era of Funko's transition into a global pop-culture phenomenon. The design focuses on the character's unique dual-colored skin and his signature shredded purple trousers, capturing the intense, monstrous proportions characteristic of McGuinness's art style. It was received favorably by collectors as a deep-cut reference to modern comic storylines, solidifying its place as a desirable centerpiece within the early Marvel collecting community.
