Cupcake (Blacklight)

The Cupcake figure from the Five Nights at Freddy's Blacklight series was released by Funko as part of a broader collection that reimagined the iconic characters from the survival horror franchise with vibrant, neon-colored aesthetics. This design choice was intended to evoke the surreal, hallucinatory atmosphere of the game's security office, utilizing high-contrast pigments that react under ultraviolet light. The figure series was produced during the height of the franchise's popularity, capitalizing on the demand for stylized, collectible merchandise that deviated from the original character models.

The design of the Blacklight series was driven by a desire to offer a collector-focused variant of the standard Pop! line, prioritizing visual flair over strict adherence to the game's internal canon. While the original Cupcake character is a simple, unsettling prop within the franchise, the Blacklight iteration features a specific color palette intended to pop on display shelves. Reception among fans was generally positive, as the aesthetic shift aligned with the series' reputation for hidden lore and visual easter eggs, making this specific item a sought-after piece for enthusiasts of both the game and the Pop! format.
